Sometimes you are so excited to see what traits your child will inherit from you and your family...like your grandma's beautiful blue eyes, or your husband's ears, or curly hair from your grandpa. Unfortunately, sometimes we pass along those traits that are less cute...like being an awful speller or nearsightedness. Such is the case, as we found out last night, for Mr. Hayden.
He will be wearing glasses in about a week, as soon as they come in. He got his nearsightedness from his dear old dad, and his astigmatism from his mom. Sorry kiddo! While I'm excited to see his reaction when he tries on his glasses and can see how crisp details are, I'm a little sad to see that baby face with glasses so young....I know he's in a hurry to grow up...but I'm not! Slow down, sweet boy! :)
