A Celebratory Weekend!

This weekend was truly all about celebrating. I am extremely grateful for all of the loved ones we were able to celebrate with.

Saturday was Cole's birthday, and we celebrated by having lunch on the back porch in the sun and having birthday cake. Cole blew out his candles and opened a few gifts and then we headed off to Uncle Jonathan's house.

Saturday night was the Kentucky Derby, and we went to the party and pigroast. Hayden and Porter had the best time riding 4 wheelers, running in the rain, peeing outside and getting muddy. A lot of people really enjoyed his using a popcorn bucket as a hat, as well. :)

Sunday was Mother's Day, and so I had my coffee while opening cards and enjoying a few gifts, hugs and kisses from my boys. (the home made cards are always the best!!!) We got ready for church soon after, as Hayden was making his first communion...what a big step! He was so angry he had to dress up, but once he saw all of his friends at church dressed nicely, he was okay. He looked so handsome. :) Aunt Toni & Uncle Paul, Grammie, Poppa & Miss Lisa, Mommy, Daddy and Porter were all there to cheer him on. We all went to breakfast after church, where he got a few cards at the restaurant.

We went home afterwards and Hayden opened the gifts from Mommy and Daddy and Grammie. He enjoyed his time in the spotlight.

The rest of the day, we played outside, enjoyed the sunshine, cool breeze and worked in the flower beds.

A beautiful, happy weekend...thank you to all who helped Hayden and Cole feel special this weekend!!!
